The Buzz doesn't feature a lot of hip-hop, but some artists are real eye-catchers, one of them being Atmosphere. Atmosphere goes the extra mile to make their live show an actual show, rather than just an MC standing on the stage with a microphone. Slug, the rapper of the duo, will be joined by a full band on stage throughout the tour. They don't look like your typical rap group, but they can definitely hang with the best of 'em lyrically.

Felt 3: Aesop Rock, Murs, and Atmosphere's Slug Team Up
I don't like hipsters. It's just not my kinda thing. But I tend to like their music, and this includes indie rappers. Aesop Rock, Murs, and Atmosphere's Slug, three of the most appreciated "semi-underground" MC's of the past few years, are combining forces once again for the third album in their Felt series entitled Felt 3. The first two albums were both dedicated to actresses whom they would love to see naked: the first one to Christina Ricci, and the second to Lisa Bonet. Despite her beyond annoying laugh, the third installment will be a tribute to Rosie Perez. Anybody who appreciates any sort of rap that expands beyond MTV probably is most likely familiar with at least one of these three rap talents and recognizes that this collaboration is stellar. Despite the Felt series not tending to push much farther then light-hearted old-school trash-talk, it is still a purchase that is sure to please. This album also marks the first of the series that is produced entirely by Aesop Rock, who has done little more than just dip his toes into the realm of producing, so it should be interesting to see just how he performs on both fronts. Felt 3 will be released on November 17th, but until then, the single "Protagonists" is available for download at http://www.rhymesayers.com/radio/audio/protagonists.mp3
